How it works
The best homes for sale in the world.
What Estate is
Estate is a marketplace for the best homes for sale in the world. Only homes that meet the Estate standard belong here. Owners list their own homes, and licensed listing agents list homes for their clients. Buyers search, save, and contact the owner or the listing agent directly from the listing page.
Estate is not a brokerage and does not represent anyone. You can buy or sell on your own, or with an agent of your choice; the agent finder helps you compare agents in any city. Estate does not promise savings, a sale price, or any particular outcome.
The Estate standard
Every home for sale on Estate has to meet all four rules. Estate reviews each listing before it goes live, and takes down any that fall short later.
Great kitchens
Stone or solid counters, real cabinetry, and proper appliances. No dated laminate.
Great bathrooms
Proper vanities, tile or stone, and glass. No basic tub-and-curtain bathrooms.
No carpet
Hardwood, stone, tile, or plank in every bedroom. One carpeted bedroom rules a home out.
Real photographs
Every home for sale is shown in photographs of the home itself, including the kitchen and bathrooms.
Owners and agents
Each listing says who published it. When an owner lists a home, messages and offers go to the owner. When a listing agent lists a home, the agent’s name, brokerage, and licence number are shown on the listing, and messages and offers go to the agent. A listing agent represents the seller; buyers who want their own representation can find a buyer agent through the agent finder.
About the data
Every listing is entered by the home’s owner or its licensed listing agent, with their own photographs. Estate does not estimate, infer, or generate property data, and fields a lister leaves blank stay blank rather than being guessed.
Before a listing goes live, Estate reviews its photographs against the standard. That review covers the kitchen, the bathrooms, the floors, and the photographs themselves. It does not verify ownership, the figures, or the condition of the home, so buyers should confirm anything that matters with the seller or agent and their own professionals.
